Repotted my Venus Fly Traps today…hope I didn’t kill them! There are some cute little baby traps ;w;
The styrofoam cups don’t leach nutrients that can kill vfts like most pots do, and they are nicely insulated against heat and cold. Better yet they’re easier to bring inside when it gets below freezing!
A Rose of Jericho three hours after being watered having nearly returned to is previous alive state
The Rose of Jericho(Anastatica hierochuntica) is a species of resurrection plant. These plants are characterized by their ability to use Poikilohydric mechanisms which enable them to survive extreme dehydration for years at a time.
Does the fear of one of these pots coming loose and falling on my head in the night outweigh the joy of waking up to the sight of smiling happy plants every day? Yeah I think so.

This artist book holds a collection of 12 eco prints, made on one late summer day in the Catskill Mountains. Each image is made only from the dye inherent to the plant. Gathered from the garden and foraged from the fields, these plant prints are the portrait of a place and time. Because some of the colorants in each image are not lightfast, they will gradually fade over time, leaving only the permanent dyes. The artist book is bound in naturally dyed and printed silk joined with a herringbone stitch.
